Low key T-Day at the Black household. Busy day at work, but it never
got "really" busy, although our little calendar kiosk did 200+% over
its best day. Crazy little money-maker! We scheduled to stay open til
midnight but closed at 11:30 due to lack of business. I think our
cafe set a new record today, too.
It turned into a mostly office day today for me as I finished next
weeks schedule and counted all the money in the north bay. OK, I
changed some light bulbs in the kiosk and made some service phone
calls, and I did ring on the registers to clear up some long lines,
but a pretty calm day all considered.
I haven't done any shopping. Nothing I really need or want. Robin got
some CD's at the last employee weekend. There are a few books I meant
to get but I was too busy. I'd like a good Excel reference, and
Stefan Fry has an interesting looking book on poetry but it's lost
somewhere in our store.
I'm looking into another LCD PIP display. I'm sick of these big fat
cathode ray boxes and the price has really come down on LCD HD PIP TV/
Monitors. Of course, it's just about time to upgrade to a new
computer, too, but that will wait at least until MacWorld since
there's rumor of a new quad-something that will be super-fast... But
really, it's not something I "need"...
