A Real Day Off

Finally a whole day off! What did I do today?

Bought stuff at Costco. Mostly bulk food, bulk TP, and an electric
blanket for Robin.
Picked up my laundry ($24)
Played three games of Age of Empires II
Ate two meals of leftovers (spaghetti and rice)
Fixed my cable tv (tuned out to be loose connection)
"Fixed" my computer (which has a carbon lib problem. I didn't totally
fix it since that requires a complete reinstall of the system and I
don't have the original disks, but it's working better.)
Wrote a long blog for my friend Susan at The Job Lounge (http://
www.joblounge.blogspot.com/)
Looked at my stock portfolio (looking good! Even Borders is up!)

Didn't make it to Safeway. I'll do that tomorrow. Maybe I'll even
polish my boots...

I've almost put 60 miles on my car since the beginning of October.
When I got home from the store I turned off the engine and just
listened to the sound of the rain.

A nice relaxing day.
