The "Mall"

Not to keep you in suspense; yes, I did have breakfast yesterday. A
real breakfast with eggs, toast, milk, and juice. Don't remember the
last time... Maybe Sunnyvale?

Ended up staying late last night (closed) but it was very very slow
at the Centre. Hey, let's face it. The Centre is a Mall. Nicer than
most with nice architecture, but still a mall. Unlike the mall in
Union City where we had our sexual harasement training a couple years
ago, the Centre has lots of good looking, well dressed women. OK,
there are probably good looking, well dressed men, too, but I haven't
noticed yet.

Staff is getting more confident and less reliant of management team,
but there are still dozens of little things that don't work as
expected. Also, since the management team is from different stores,
there are a lot of things we do differently, especially with some of
the money handling (counting drawers, safe counts, etc.). My poor OS
is spending half her days just balancing the books.

I stayed late to help the cafe close. Mopped the floors, which was
kind of nice to be able to do something. Late in the day we received
a memo from Westfield that they are going to turn off the power
tonight to replace some equipment related to the power outage. That
means we're going to have to figure out what to do with all our cafe
supplies or toss them... again (third time in a week!).

And next weeks schedule is due...
