House of Prime

No, not prime numbers. Not Prime Minister, but the House of Prime Rib.

My treat for dog sitting a couple weeks ago. It's on Van Ness and has been for about 50 years. They have a menu but few choices. Just the size of your meat and whether or not you want mash potatos or baked.

All dinners come with salad (house dressing), bread, potatos, cream spinach, corn bread, Yorkshire pudding. Your choice of horseradish. Mile, Hot, or RAW.

They push around their large alluminum carts that look like airstream trailers with charcol burning in the bottom part, with several slabs of beef (as a bonus they plates are kept hot until they serve, too!).

It's a lot of food. Delicious, but a lot. I didn't eat for more than a day afterwords and lost my ability to use verbs. The service is very good and the decor is corny, but comfy. It's a lot of food.
