Day 1

First day at the new store(s): #605 and #1958 (the newsstand). We sat
in an office at the Mission Bay store (my first time there).

MUNI was much quicker than I expected, noticed several beautiful
buildings I never noticed before on the new spur of the N Judah line.
King Street!? Where did all this come from?! All new, or completely
renovated. Years ago my caligraphy friend Jane Dill had a corner of a
studio down here and I set up her computer etc. but I can't even
figure out where that old coffee building is (was?).

So we looked at the floor plans, printed out dozens of applications
for our job fair later this week, and made lots of calls. I finally
got onto my company email and it was nice to have been included on
some of the posts from Sunnyvale.

Took the N Judah home (people dress better in san francisco, no
doubt!) and walked along the flower pots lining Noe between Duboce
and Market on a lovely afternoon. Really, a nice day.
