20,000 Miles to Sunnyvale

Tuesday was my last day at the Sunnyvale Borders. Tomorrow I start at
605, at the San Francisco Centre, but we'll be at the Mission Bay
store for a while until they finish building the new store. Job fair
this week.

So far I don't know my new schedule, or most of the management team,
what the store looks like, etc. So lots of new.

I'll miss my two hours of commute. Not the driving, but the time to
listen to music or audio books. Really enjoyed the Teaching Company
lectures, the Jared Diamond books. Oddly, not much fiction. And
there's Fresh Air and Car Talk, and some odd word game show I used to
catch late at night.

But the speeding cars, tail-gaters, well... you know all to well
what's out there. All that, I'm glad to say adios to.

So I figured roughly I've driven about 20,000 miles in the past year.
About 500 hours on the road. Hellooooo, MUNI!
