Not Enough

Stiff head of fog
Oozing over the hilltops
Backed up against the ocean
Straining against the treetops
As if to shove the land back
To make room for the Pacific
Because the ocean is not enough
Not deep enough
Not wide enough
This planet is to small to hold it all

It can't help itself
This is the passion of deep water
Its lust for the waning moon.
