I used to work in the office above the this theater. We moved there after the failure of a high-end restaurant that was financed by a group of gentlemen who also happened to own the majority of the porn shops, strip clubs, etc. in this fine town. Each day, and any time I wanted to go in or out of the office, I had to walk through the lobby to the soundtrack of whatever movie was playing at the time. Our office supplies were stored backstage, behind the giant screen. Postit notes, reams of paper (no pun intended), paperclips, and backwards porn. Mom would be proud. Incidentally, this must have been one very fine theater in its years, one of the few remaining lovely details is the interior stairs which are fronted by alabaster and lit from behind. One can only imagine ... P.S. Same group also owned Fascination which is noted in your blog later along.
