Stefan's friend had some extra tix to the A's game, in a luxury box, no less. I haven't sat through a ballgame in years, so it was a nice diversion.
I had gone into work today to work on the schedule for a few hours so it took me a couple innings to relax, enjoy the free food (hot dogs, popcorn, tamales, etc., but no Crackerjacks!), and spend some time talking to my buddy.
There were about six kids in our box horsing around (although one read a book the whole time, "The Roman Mysteries") and it was the birthday (10) of one of them so there was cake to be had. When introduced, one of the kids gave me his business card...
These were mostly writers, I think, and I never was clear who was the host, which company "owned" the box, and how everyone was related.
Stefan and I left at the bottom of the seventh inning, both of us tired (him from jet lag, me from...well, you know).
It was a nice day.
Tomorrow; Mexican food, cigars and coffee, and shopping for tee shirts in the Haight (after I work on the schedule some more).
