Whew!

16 hour day today. Very busy. Did more than double expected business.

You might be surprised to know that today was the first time I've
seen most of the Centre. We've been bared from the other floors, and
Bloomies has been walled off. Until today. I only had a couple
minutes passing through, but it is really beautiful. Many customers
were very surprised at how big it is.

Our cafe opened at 7 am and was still busy when I left at around 10
pm. Our cafe trainers came by to observe and ended up spending most
of the day working behind the counter. Unofficially more than double
the business of any other SBC cafe opening! Suddenly my boss is a
genius and people are listening to him. Ken has been asking for more
resources like an extra register, food delivery date (we sold out of
some food in one day!), etc.

Hopefully we'll get some help from the district. We were lucky to
have our trainers here to help, and had stuffed the schedule with
every available person to help. Even though we trained 14 cafe
workers, given their schedules and availability it's tough to have
the cafe staffed. And now that it turns out to be a big fat success,
we need more help.

OK, I'm rambling. Off to bed. Another early (and long) day tomorrow.
