All the News Fit to Print

Our newsstand opened at 5 a.m. this morning and our General Manager,
Ken, was the first customer (Butterfinger candy bar). I stopped by
around a quarter to six and it looked pretty quiet. Still, they
seemed to have had a busy day. The store looks great but some shelves
were empty. No newspapers yet! No one is really sure where they are...

I had to make a noon hour dash to get more register tape (since I'm
the "local" who knows where all the stores are).

My biggest stresser of the day was waiting for a FedEx package which
never arrived. Turned out to be one of those things that I didn't
have to worry about after all (at least not yet).

Cafe training continues. I got my apron today! We set up the cafe and
a few of the new cafe staff rose to show some leadership. Good crew.
(Did I mention we had hand washing training today?)
